Not the Same

I remembered something else that I find sort of profound for a girl like me to be able to think up. That probably made no sense, but that's because I think differently.
People try to find other people who compliment their thoughts. People want similarities, because when you think the same way about the future, somehow that future becomes so much clearer. More definite. More defined. Safer.
Sure, opposites can attract, but usually similar minded people get along easier. Whether we're just giving ourselves some ego boost by finding people who say “Yeah, that's the way to go”, or not, we just work better with people who think the same way.
And yet, I think I'd kill the guy who thought the exact same way I did. There's only so much of me that needs to be in the world.
The scary thought now is, he's probably thinking the same way about me. Heh.

Back to school. God, there's a lot to read :(
I wanted to say something random here, but I got drained. I'm not a fan of April Fool's. Yesterday was unexpectedly busy.
Fridays

I actually think Fridays suck a lot.
I don't have a party life, so I think that explains it. Also, since UCI is partially a commuter school, no one's really THERE. Most people leave for somewhere. Home? Someone else's house?
For the latter half, I don't do that, not on Fridays. Things change, people change, and sometimes it feels more limiting than it is freeing. Just change itself is hard to take sometimes.
But one day I'll get the hang of Fridays. Just not now… and probably not for a few years. There's a couple of weeks left in this year.
One Friday will be memorable in the nice kind of way.

The gallery is now functioning more like the way I want it. Check it out at Zest! Props to whomever made coppermine. I thought it was a bitch, but it's fairly simple the 14th time around X_x. The whole “Third time's a charm” doesn't seem to work on me!
Unless it applies to my love life. That's a different story. I'm such a tease! Haha.
Anyway, I'll put in non-default images for the header up top in the gallery. I'll redo this layout, too, because I did a default layout and changed the colors and images to scream orange.

I don't know what it is. Maybe I'm just tired, maybe I'm getting sick, but there's something that feels sort of ill.
But in other news, I'm updating the gallery themes. I did so before. I'll update the front page sometime soon, too, I have plans on what to do with it. And I hope it's as neat as I hope it would be.

I'm tempted to change the background at the header. Fill it up with my drawings and characters, though I know FOR SURE it will probably look crappier.

Hey, everybody should have an about page.
I've got one now, and you can find it under the “links” section on the left. God, I LOVE plugins. Serendipity out of the box is all right, but plugins are what makes every CMS/Blogging software feel more at home.
You can tell I like what I do.

Dreamer's Grove

I've partially completed the Dreamer's Grove website for my best friend. The front page is a little lacking, as well as the gallery, but that's what you get for me putting it up so… well, without help.
I'll design later on in the future, but for now I'm pretty happy that everything's working.
Oh, I love spring break. Living at home isn't the greatest, but free food and laundry, as well as it being shelter from the weather in the first place… it's pretty good.
… I gotta get working on my OWN gallery.

It's a depressing song, actually, but who'd have figured?
Anyway, post-finals week, and I'm drained. I'm more productive on my websites when there are deadlines for school, only because I want to figure out what's worth working on.
I studied enough, I figure. Enough to pass.
Or enough to take the class over. X_x We'll see. For now, I'll be restructuring the Piece Work website that I also own, so I can give it to my best friend who knows nothing about building websites. I'm also still paying for it. Heh, we'll see how this turns out.
